Some personal reflections on Father’s Day. Fathering is so important and it’s so much more complex than financial support or anything truly tangible. I am so grateful to have had two men that really gave me their best. So even though the days have been tougher without my Dad and Uncle, I am so grateful for what I’ve gained as a result of their fathering. You may not want to whip out this portrait at her high school graduation (or maybe you will, ha!), but it is definitely something to keep close and cherish. As "normalizing" breastfeeding seems to be a hot button issue lately, I ask you not to get caught up in that right now. Just view this as a precious and cherished moment between mama and baby.
